Adding Payment Methods & Processing Payments

Adding a New Payment Method

We can add credit and debit cards over the phone. ECheck accounts must be added by the customer through the Customer Portal at https://billing.gobertram.com.

  1. Open the customer's account → Billing tab
  2. Click Add in the Credit Card/Bank Account box
  3. Enter card details. Note: We do not require a security code — our payment provider ProPay does not require one.

Processing a Payment

  1. Click the Billing tab
  2. Check previous payment history — see what card or account recent transactions used
  3. Verify with the customer which card they want to use
  4. Run through using Submit ECheck or CC Payment

Plan Changes

Moving to a Different Plan

  1. In Powercode, click ServicesAdd Service
  2. Select the new plan from Monthly Internet (you can type to search). Make sure you select the correct region and account type (Residential or Commercial)
  3. Click Add. Powercode pro-rates automatically — the bill will be the daily average of both plans weighted to the number of days on each.

Away Status (Vacation Hold)

  1. ServicesAdd Service
  2. Under Monthly Internet, in Monthly, type "away" and select Away Status (With Assurance Plan) $9.00/Month
  3. Note: If they are a GraniteWave Migration account, check historical billing. If previously charged $5.00 for away status, charge at that rate.
  4. Delete the existing internet package from services. If there was a price override, note it in account notes and call log for future reference.

Vacation Hold Pricing (from gobertram.com FAQ)

  • Standard vacation hold: $15/month
  • Vacation Hold+ (IoT devices like thermostats): $20/month
  • Available October 1st through April 1st
