New Installation — Home Owner (Wireless)

Step 1: Create Lead Account

Enter customer info in Powercode before checking the shot: name, phone, email, address, referral info, and billing county. If we don't have their contact info, we can't notify them if we build a new tower in their area.

If Powercode says "Failed to calculate latitude and longitude":

Verify the address and try again
If it persists, use Google Maps: search the address, drop a pin on the house, copy coordinates
In Powercode Location tab, uncheck Automatically Geocode and enter the coordinates manually

Step 2: Check Elevation Profile

On the lead account page, click View Elevation Profile.

Step 3: Check Line of Sight

Look at the graph for obstructions. Click different tower sites. Switch from Road to Aerial view to check for trees.

Blue Line = actual line of sight (hypothetical signal path)
Red Oval = Fresnel zone (actual signal path). Ideally no obstruction, mild obstruction may still be serviceable.

Generally, Freedom 450 equipment is 5GHz. The Ashippun, Shirley, Nordin North, and County C towers use 2.4GHz.

Ask the customer how tall their house is. Tripods available: 5ft and 10ft, each paired with a 10ft pole (up to 16ft additional height).

If they don't want roof mount and want a post instead, schedule a site survey ($80, $50 credited to account if they install).

Step 4: Pricing — Home Owners

Option 1: No Contract

$175.00 Standard Installation Fee (includes 2.5 hrs labor, 150ft cabling)
Additional labor: $75.00/hr
Additional cable: $0.50/ft
$10.00 One Time Rental Fee (mandatory legal requirement)
Tripods: 5×10 = $65, 10×10 = $160
Must still sign Terms of Service
30-day trial period (full refund if unhappy)
If installation fails, no charge

Option 2: Three-Year Service Agreement (Free Installation)

Waives all installation costs (except PTP systems)
Includes: 3 hrs labor, 150ft cabling, 5ft or 10ft tripod if needed
$10.00 One Time Rental Fee (cannot be waived)
Early Termination Fee: $350.00
30-day trial period (full refund if unhappy)
If installation fails, no charge

Point-to-Point (PTP) Add-On

One-time fee: $280.00 (equipment only, not installation)
Customer still responsible for installation fee
Cable cannot exceed 326ft (technical limitation)
If PTP needs maintenance: $75.00/hr + parts
Defective unit replacement: $140.00
Units not covered under warranty

Step 5: Create the Job

In Powercode: Jobs → Create Job. Use job note template:

Step 6: Scheduling

Let customer know dispatch will contact them with a date. Do not promise a specific date — say we'll do our best but it can be moved due to business needs.
